Be mentally prepared for Alaska's notoriously changeable Weather, which can eliminate a day's hunting. Simply started, the culmination of a successful trophy hunt often comes down to the hunter's ability to withstand the elements. Hopefully, the weather will be great for your hunt, as it has been for many but expect rain at sometime on any Alaskan hunt, so bring good quality rain gear. Sounds tough? It's meant to be. Experienced hunters can appreciate this caution. A novice to the north may become quickly disillusioned with experienced or mature hunters will to pay the price of perseverance and able to cope with the diversity of Alaskan hunt. Transportation within the hunting area is by bush plane. Usually, we will stay in tent camps near the landing areas and hunting on foot from there. Sheep hunts are on foot with backpacks, sometimes staying out for days at a time. For the serious hunter who is in good physical condition, these hunts will be long remembered as the highlight in one's hunting experience. Many hunters bring to much gear. Your gear should be packed in duffel-type bags, as it will be transported in small, bush aircraft. Please limit yourself to approx. 40 lbs. Of personal gear. Personal equipment (duffel or 2 soft bags) max 40 lbs. Excluding rifle-ankle fit hip boots, vibrate soled hiking boots, warm coat, hat with earflaps, gloves, long underwear, knee length rain jacket & rain pants, four pair wool and light socks, two changes of clothes, a vest, down or comparable, sleeping bag and sunglasses. You will want a camera, film, binoculars and perhaps a spotting scope. Bring only one rifle with soft case, two boxes of ammo, scope cover and a knife. |

Combination hunts and pricing will be custom tailored. No-hunter charge $ 1500. Most hunts are 1x1 unless otherwise agreed upon. Caribou and Black Bear normally 5 days. Other hunts normally 7 days, unless other agreement are made. Hunting rate's include equipped camps, backpacks, food, guide services, transportation in the field and field preparation of trophies. You pay any extra shipping cost of meat, trophies and final preparation, crating and shipping costs. Fees do not including your license, tags, hotel or accommodations other than while hunting. Everything provided except personal gear. A deposit of 1/3 will confirm your hunt. Remainder due upon arrival Alaska prior to the start of the hunt. Fee's must be cashiers check, cash or travelers checks . If a hunt is cancelled, the deposit is refunded if you find a replacement 60 days prior to the hunt. Hunt the giant Mulchatna Caribou! This is an outstanding Caribou hunt for the hunters who do not desire a fully guided hunt. This herd is now estimated at over 200,000 animals! It all starts when you arrive in our base camp, which is in a remote portion of western Alaska. From there we load you in our Supercubs and fly you to a spike camp where the caribou run amuck. We supply everything, tents, stoves, lanterns, fuel, food, cooking utensils, gam bags, ect. You bring only your personal gear. All of our gear is the finest available and designed specifically for the unique requirements of Alaska hunting. Hunters are not just dropped off and forgotten about here, we have an exceptionally high success rat with our unguided hunters because we put them where thy need to be, where the game is. We also check on your progress daily (unless the weather does not permit ) and move you if need be. We also offer other Big game hunt on a trophy fee basis: you only pay the fee if you are successful! I believe this is the best fully outfitted, unguided Caribou hunt in the state.
